It's next stop Teesside for our new loan signing Andraž Šporar after he came off the bench for Slovenia against Croatia on Tuesday evening.

The striker came on as a substitute for the final 25 minutes as Slovenia's hopes of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup were dealt a blow after they went down to a 3-0 defeat in Split.

Marko Livaja put the Croats ahead on 33 minutes, Mario Pasalic doubled the advantage on 66, and Nikola Vlasic made it three in the fourth minute of time added on.

Croatia joined Russia at the top of the group, six points ahead of Slovenia with four games remaining. Slovakia also moved above Slovenia after they beat Cyprus 2-0.

Striker Šporar will now meet up with his new Boro team-mates for the first time ahead of the weekend trip to Coventry City.
