The game has been scheduled for Tuesday March 12 at Marske's Mount Pleasant ground with a 7.45pm kick-off.

To reach this stage of the tournament, our U23s have twice won 1-0 away, following a tough battle in pouring rain at Pickering with an equally hard-fought victory at Whitby in between Christmas and New Year.

Marske followed up a 5-1 win away to Redcar Newmarket in their first game, with a 3-1 home win over Thornaby in the quarter-final.

The other semi-final sees Scarborough Athletic with a home tie against York City, that game to be played on Tuesday March 5.

Middlesbrough and Scarborough are the most successful sides in the long history of this competition, believed to be one of the oldest in the country.

Last year we beat Scarborough in the final to claim the trophy for the 56th time.

*The U23s fixture against Stoke City originally planned for Friday Feb 1 but cancelled due to a frozen pitch, has been rescheduled for Friday April 19 with a 7pm kick-off at Bishop Auckland's Heritage Park. It is the same day, Good Friday, that we play Stoke's first team at the Riverside, that game is scheduled for a 3pm start.
