Goals from Juninho and Fabrizio Ravanelli made it back-to-back Riverside wins for Boro against Blackburn Rovers on this day in 1997.
The Teessiders had gone close when Clayton Blackmore clipped the crossbar, but the deadlock was broken after Juninho surged forward from inside his own half, and Ravanelli and Phil Stamp combined to enable to Brazilian to lift the ball over Tim Flowers.
Juninho then turned provider when he sent Ravanelli racing through one-on-one with Flowers, and the Italian international slipped it through the legs of the Rovers keeper to double the advantage.
Chris Sutton halved the deficit for Blackburn when he headed home from close range, but Boro held on for the three points.
