On this day in 2005, Brazilian Doriva scored his one and only Boro goal to help us to a comeback victory in the FA Cup.

The Teessiders trailed Notts County courtesy of an early effort from Tony Scully which deflected off Ugo Ehiogu and into the net.

But midfield workhorse Doriva popped up with a collector's item to level the scores, dodging a Magpies defender before drilling in from 25 yards.

Boro, who'd beaten League Two County at the same stage of the competition the previous season, completed the turnaround when Joseph Desire Job poked home.
