Argentine midfielder Martin Payero will make his Boro debut at Blackpool on Wednesday (7.45pm).

The Olympic international was an unused substitute at Fulham at the weekend, but he will get his first taste of the English game in the Carabao Cup first round tie at Bloomfield Road.

"Martin will play on Wednesday so that will be good," said Boro boss Neil Warnock.

"He was surprised at the physicality on Sunday but he enjoyed it, and he's looking forward to playing his first game."

Payero will be one of a number of players involved an expected re-shuffle for the trip.

"We only have a small squad so there will be changes," said the boss.

"There’s certain players we can’t do without and I can’t rest them, and there’s others who will have to play because of the numbers we have."

We will be backed by a following in excess of 1,300. Boro fans wanting to attend can pay on the night at the away turnstiles, cash only.
