Leeds United, West Brom, and Aston Villa go into Sunday’s final round of fixtures knowing they are guaranteed a place in the Play-Offs – but the final spot is still up for grabs with Derby County, ourselves, and Bristol City all vying for a sixth-placed finish.

Derby’s failure to beat Swansea City on Wednesday evening leaves the Rams one point ahead of Boro going into the final weekend. Frank Lampard's side were pegged back to a 1-1 draw at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea's Wayne Routledge cancelling out a Richard Keogh goal.

While Boro travel to already relegated Rotherham United, Derby entertain a West Brom side who are in fourth place but still harbour outside hopes of overhauling Leeds in third. A Baggies win could ensure them a meeting with the sixth-placed side in the division in the semi-finals, rather than facing local rivals Aston Villa as it stands. To achieve that, West Brom must win at Derby and hope Leeds lose to Ipswich.

Bristol City are also still very much in the mix, and they travel to Hull City knowing they must win and hope both Derby and ourselves slip up.

As it stands, Derby hold sixth place on 71 points with a goal difference of plus 13 while we are on 70 points in seventh place, but with a goal difference of plus seven. Bristol City are a point further behind (69) and with a goal difference of plus six.
