The new-look first team coaching staff will take the squad to Bad Aussee for a week-long training camp that will conclude with a game against Austrian second division side Grazer AK on Friday July 5 (6pm).

It’s back to the UK for the second game of pre-season and a trip to National League North side Gateshead at the International Stadium on Wednesday July 10 (7.30pm).

The short journey to Hartlepool United is next up for Jonathan Woodgate’s side, on Sunday July 14 (1pm), before a trip to Germany to face 2 Bundesliga club FC Heidenheim 1846 at the Voith-Arena on Saturday July 20 (4pm).

Tuesday July 23 sees a first for the club with a trip to EFL newcomers Salford City (7.30pm) before a return to the Riverside for our final warm-up game of the summer.

French side AS Saint-Etienne, who finished fourth in Ligue 1 last season to qualify for the Europa League, will provide the opposition on Sunday July 28 (3pm).
