Stephen Wearne and Nathan Dale are the latest Academy graduates to be offered professional contracts.
Wearne, an attacking midfielder from Stockton-on-Tees, has scored five goals in 11 Premier League appearances for our U18s this season and he also featured for our U23s.
The 19-year-old Dale, who hails from Redcar, has taken full advantage of his third scholarship year by featuring regularly for our U23s this season, and he joins Wearne in signing his first professional contract.
Youngsters hoping to follow in the footsteps of Dale, having been offered third-year scholarships, are Daniel Dodds, Nick Hood, Gabby McGill, and Jack Robinson.
The club has also taken up the option to extend the professional contract of goalkeeper Brad James, who has been a regular with the U23s this season.
Having missed much of their second year through injury, Luke Drummond and Layton Watts will remain with the club for a period at the start of next season.
Parting company with the club at the end of the season will be midfielder Alex Pattison, who is currently on loan at Yeovil, Kieran Charlton, Nathan Guru, and Dan Ward.
