It was confirmed at 9am yesterday that Woodgate would head up a new-look senior coaching team at the Riverside, joined by his former Leeds and Spurs teammate Robbie Keane, Leo Percovich and Danny Coyne.

Woodgate took to Instagram to share his delight at becoming the head coach of his boyhood team.

The new head coach said he wants to get fans on the edge of their sets with an attacking style of football, and Boro supporters are relishing the new season with Woodgate at the helm.

One of Woodgate's former teammates Robbie Keane will link up with him as part of the new coaching team, an appointment which has excited the Boro fans.

Woodgate and Keane's former club Tottenham Hotspur sent their best wishes to the duo.

An hour later, our 2019/20 away shirt was unveiled, and it got the seal of approval...

A few young Boro fans are already kitted out for next season!

The announcements continued to roll, with our pre-season schedule confirmed, which includes French side AS Saint-Etienne visiting the Riverside.

Woodgate was unveiled in front of the media at lunchtime, and was joined by Boro Chairman Steve Gibson, Chief Executive Neil Bausor and Head of Recruitment Operations Adrian Bevington, who outlined the club's identity of a 'golden thread' to run through the club, which left fans feeling excited about what lies ahead.
