We were joined by a special little girl on Wednesday when the team had the honour of being led out by brave Boro fan Darcyana Aspery-Walsh.
The five-year-old is fighting a brain tumour and has just completed a course of chemotherapy at the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) in Newcastle.
Tragically, her mother Debbie Aspery, 30, was diagnosed with incurable cancer in 2016 after she found a lump in her breast.
Darcyana was diagnosed at just 21 months old and she has endured brain surgery and multiple procedures.
Our young mascot was introduced to all the players by her own personal favourite George Friend, before going on to lead the team on to the pitch ahead of the game against Bolton Wanderers.
