Here's what the Head Coach has been discussing.
On Boro's FA Cup ambitions:
"I always said that for me, every competition is important. The FA Cup is an amazing trophy.
[when asked if Boro can win the FA Cup] "Why not? We have to keep our belief and keep dreaming.
"Roberto [Martinez] won the title with Wigan and that shows it can be done.
"Our main aim is to stay in the Premier League this season, but for this week my priority is the cup."
On Saturday's opponents Oxford United:
"We experienced in the last round how hard you can make it if you go to the pitch thinking it will be easy.
"It's going to be a tough game, especially if we don't go to the pitch with the right attitude.
"Oxford are dangerous, and when you analyse them you see it wasn't a coincidence that they beat Newcastle.
"They play well on the counter-attacks and score good goals.
"Our players are intelligent and know this is a good opportunity to go through. But to reach the next round we have to be at our best."
On making changes this weekend:
"When you have a squad like I do and 25 players ready to play, your selection will be the best in terms of attitude.
"Rudy [Gestede] and Patrick [Bamford] are training really well - they arrived at a team that was almost built and they are here to add more things.
"I will put the best XI to win the game, but I have to know I have 25 players and another three months in front of us - all of them will be important and I trust them all."
"George Friend is available - he began training the last few days in Benidorm. Antonio Barragan is out."
