Here's what the Head Coach had to say:
On a 'massive' win against Sunderland:
"The most important thing was to win. All our efforts were in to winning and that's what we achieved.
"The players were pleased with their efforts, and there was terrific support and atmosphere throughout in the stadium.
"Derby matches often pan out like that. There's always plenty of tension, intensity and fight, and we worked hard to come out on top.
"Confidence and belief comes from winning football matches. It had been a long time so the players will be in a much better place.
"We know the situation we're in now and that we have to win more matches."
On carrying the momentum forward into Sunday's match against Manchester City:
"It's another all or nothing match, but we're used to that in recent weeks.
"We know we're playing against a top team and coach.
"I've admired Pep [Guardiola] for many years. His team pass the ball and are very good in possession, with lots of movement. They have talent all over the pitch and can score goals for fun.
"But when we went to the Etihad we came away with a point, and in the FA Cup game we worked hard and had chances on the day.
"We're under different pressures in this league and it's got the makings of a very good fixture."
On his squad's fitness and availability:
"Dani [Ayala]'s twisted his ankle and remains doubtful.
"Victor Valdes has sore ribs and is also a doubt.
"Leadbitter is still struggling with his hamstring."
