Neil Warnock will take one final look at his squad in training this morning as he assesses his selection options ahead of Boro's match against Bristol City tomorrow (kick-off 3pm).

The Teessiders' first home game of the season is a third outing within a week, following trips to Fulham and Blackpool.

"At the moment I'm not certain who will be available," the Boro boss said.

"We'll know more after we go out to train in the next few hours.

"We only had eight players training yesterday - we were following advice from the medical staff and a few were rested.

"But I won't be wrapping them in cotton wool. If they're fit, they're playing."

The Boro boss is counting on the returning home support to help his team put in a performance.

"They've got to really lift us, we'll be counting on that this season," he said.

"We know that they can do that, even at Fulham there were moments where they could have got on our backs a bit, but they really carried us through.

"I'm really looking forward to seeing them."
