Tony Pulis says Boro will wait on the fitness of three players ahead of Saturday's match against Barnsley.
The Boro manager will check on Patrick Bamford, Mo Besic and George Friend before the game at the Riverside this weekend.
Bamford has scored seven goals in his last four games, but Pulis revealed after the forward's goalscoring turn on Tuesday that he had not trained with a hamstring problem.
"Patrick's hopefully going to be OK," Pulis said.
"When I first came in he was still getting the chances but they weren't dropping for him.
"Now he's scored a couple of goals and he's gone from strength to strength.
"Every time he sees the goal he most probably thinks he can's miss.
"That's what we need - him and Britt [Assombalonga]. Those players at the top end of the pitch are the difference."
Meanwhile, Mo Besic and George Friend are also concerns for Saturday's game.
"We had a little problem with Mo, and we won't know until tomorrow. He's got a little hamstring issue, maybe the games have caught up with him a little bit.
"George has got a little strain which we're looking into. We're hoping again that he'll be OK.
"This is what happens, we've had two very tough games and done a bit of travelling as well. We have to manage it properly."
Grant Leadbitter will also miss Saturday's game as he serves the second game of a two-match suspension.
