Tony Pulis says Boro fans can expect a much-changed team in the FA Cup this weekend including a first look at new loan signing Rajiv van La Parra.
The Boro boss says his selection options for Peterborough United this Saturday (kick-off 3pm) have been affected by a number of injuries, including Aden Flint who withdrew from the New Year's Day match against Derby County after the warm-up due to a hamstring injury.
"I think we'll have the youngest player [Nathan Wood] and the oldest player [Dimi Konstantopoulos] in the club's history in the squad, which is an extraordinary coincidence and an amazing situation," he said.
"But in some areas I would have picked a stronger team if I could have.
"It looks like Aden Flint will be out for a few weeks, which is disappointing. Ayala's also picked up a knock.
"You add that to Ryan Shotton and Sam Stubbs that's a bit of a worry defensively.
"We're a little bit concerned at the moment with the way one or two of them are."
At the other end of the pitch, Pulis is planning to give Rajiv van La Parra his first minutes in a Boro shirt.
"He'll start tomorrow," he said.
"Rajiv hasn't played much football so we have to get him back up to full fitness.
"He's got what we need - he's a leg-beater and can take people out of the game.
"But we'll have to be a bit patient. Even tomorrow, speaking to the medical people I don't think he'll play the full 90 minutes."
