Tomorrow night’s visit to Craven Cottage is our second of three games inside a week after Tuesday’s FA Cup replay at Tottenham Hotspur, before we return to the Riverside early next week against Birmingham City.

Woodgate says he will have the same squad at his disposal for tomorrow night, but says Friend and Shotton are progressing well.

“No injuries from the other day,” said the Boro head coach.

“The ones who have been injured – Friend and Shotton are doing a lot of work on the grass at the minute, and they could be a couple of weeks away.

“Ayala, I would say four weeks, Britt we’re not sure on yet and Dijksteel is another couple of months.”
