Neil Warnock believes tomorrow’s trip to St Andrew’s may come too soon, but is hopeful that Yannick Bolasie may make his squad for Swansea City on Saturday.
The Boro boss has been boosted by the return of other first team faces in recent weeks, and wants to play it right to get Bolasie back up to speed as well.
“Yannick’s training quite well,” he said.
“I’m hoping he’ll be involved at some stage on Saturday.
"It was nice to get Tavernier back on the pitch at the weekend. He lasted the game which I didn’t expect him too, that’s a big plus.
“And [Nathaniel] Mendez-Laing getting 60-70 minutes was another bonus. It’s good for their build-up to get some more minutes.”
Meanwhile, Ashley Fletcher is also working hard after his latest setback.
"I saw Fletch as I was coming in today, and he's due to do some hill running," Warnock said.
"Once we've got this week out of the way, we've got a free midweek so he might be available for Stoke - but that might be too optimistic."
