England Youth internationals Marcus Tavernier, Stephen Walker and Nathan Wood have all made their way into the list of the 50 hottest prospects in the English game, in association with Youth Hawk.

Walker, named at number 46, joined League Two side MK Dons on loan in January having impressed in our youth sides, including registering a hat-trick for our Under-18s against Everton in the Premier League Cup.

The 18-year-old, who penned a new four-and-a-half year contract with us last month, made his Boro debut in the Carabao Cup first round victory over Notts County and stepped off the bench in the 5-0 triumph against Peterborough United in the Emirates FA Cup.

Our youngest-ever player Wood features slightly further down at 38, writing himself into Boro folklore when he came off the bench against Notts County in the Carabao Cup, and also featured against Rochdale and Preston in the same competition.

Like Walker, 16-year-old Wood has represented England at youth level, and has skippered the Under-17s this campaign.

Meanwhile Tavernier earned number 21 in the list, and there’s only 13 more teenagers who have clocked up more minutes in the Championship this season than the 19-year-old but none with more goals.

Tavernier has bagged four goals this term – finding the back of the net once every 121 minutes on average.
