Boro's Under-23s will be aiming for a fourth straight win when they take on Southampton on Sunday (2pm).

Mark Tinkler's side will get the opportunity to play at St Mary's against a Saints side who were beaten at Bishop Auckland back in August.

Josh Coburn settled matters that day when he stroked home a last-minute penalty, but Boro go into Sunday's game two points behind them in the table.

Coburn, Martin Payero, and Caolan Boyd-Munce all featured in the 3-2 derby win against Sunderland last weekend, but it was Calum Kavanagh who again stole the limelight.

Kavanagh bagged his first hat-trick in U23s football and took his goals tally to seven in three games.  Nathan Wood saw red in that game is suspended for the Saints trip.

A win on Sunday would see Boro overhaul Southampton in the table and go eighth.
