Graeme Lee’s side have won one, drawn one, lost one so far in the group stage, enough to sit in second place in Group G.

The draw came against the Clarets, 1-1 at Heritage Park back in October, Boro’s goal coming from the penalty spot late on through Ben Liddle.

The victory was an emphatic 5-1 down at Crystal Palace, while Boro’s defeat came courses of Burnley’s Lancashire rivals Blackburn Rovers who sit atop the group with a perfect record.

Kick-off is 1pm at Curzon Ashton’s Tameside Stadium.
