Our table topping Under-23s were back on the goal trail again this afternoon after hammering Wolves at Kidderminster.
The youngsters moved three points clear at the top of PL2 Division 2 with a four-goal win against Wolves.
Graeme Lee’s side blew the hosts away in a one-sided first half that produced three good goals.
Joe Gibson opened the scoring with a delightful curling left foot finish before Hayden Hackney doubled the advantage with a free-kick from just outside of the box.
The third goal came moments before the whistle when home goalkeeper Andreas Sondergaard failed to hold a shot and Alberto Balde was on hand to tap the ball home.
Wolves did have an opportunity early in the second half, but Gibson reacted well to clear the danger. The woodwork saved the hosts moment later when Rumarn Burrell coolly chipped Sondergaard, only to see the ball come back off the bar.
The home side pull a goal back with 20 minutes remaining – Conor Carty scoring – but the three-goal cushion was restored within minutes when Burrell showed good feet to score Boro’s fourth of the game.
