Not long after our first team finishes their game with Stoke at the Riverside, our U23s take on the Potters' U23s at Heritage Park.
Paul Stephenson's side come into the game on the back of a terrific 3-2 win at Norwich in what was their final away game of the campaign last Friday.
"I was really pleased with them that night," says the Lead Coach.
"We could have been well clear before Norwich started to get into the game, but the way we applied ourselves, attitude included, was spot on."
This game was originally scheduled for February 1, but was postponed due to freezing conditions.
Stoke are just a point behind us and the two sides drew 1-1 in another bank holiday game at the end of August, so it's reasonable to assume there could be another tight affair on the cards this evening.
The Norwich result extended our run to just two defeats in 12 games and with just two games of the season remaining, the team want to end on a high.
The final game of the season is another home game, this time at the Riverside, a week on Sunday (the day after the first team game with Reading) when Newcastle United are the visitors.
This evening's kick-off is 7pm, admission is free to all Boro Season Card holders and £3 to everyone else.
