Harrogate Town are set to kick off their life as an EFL club with a behind-closed-doors game against our Under-23s at Rockliffe later this week.
Harrogate joined Boro in the flying the North Yorkshire flag in the league after beating Notts County in the National League Play-Off final at Wembley last month.
The game will mark the start of a truncated fixture programme for our U23s this summer.
Under normal circumstances, our U23s usually visit a number of local teams during pre-season, but due to COVID-19, games will be limited to EFL or Premier League opposition this time around and will take place at Rockliffe.
Graeme Lee’s squad returned to training at the start of last week, along with the U18s, and their first taste of action will come against the Suplhurites on Friday at Rockliffe.
The U18s will follow with their first game the following day when Leeds United are the visitors for a behind-closed-doors friendly.
