It's the fifth consecutive away trip - sixth including the North Riding Senior Cup - for Graeme Lee's side, who beat Crystal Palace 5-1 before losing 5-3 to Aston Villa earlier in the month.

Youngsters including Ben Liddle, Stephen Walker and Tyrone O'Neill are set to travel, players who have been involved with Boro's senior side in recent weeks and could well feature in the first team fixture between the sides on Friday.

Stoke were 2-0 winners when the sides last met back in August, and currently sit three points above Boro in the PL2 table. Victory for the sixth-placed Teessiders would move us level with Stoke, currently in third and some way behind runaway leaders West Ham and Manchester United.

The match is at 7pm kick-off at Harrison Park, home of Leek Town FC.
