New goalkeeping coach Alan Fettis is relishing a new chapter in his career after joining the club.

The former Northern Ireland international spent 11 years after at Manchester United before joining Boro this week.

"The stature of this club is huge," said the 51-year-old.

"They've always been good football people here, welcoming, friendly, and a very good football club. The manager has done well previously, and I think he is a good, honest football person too.

"It was a wrench to leave Man United after such a long time, but if you want to push yourself and have ambition, it was a no brainier."
