The skipper's milestone game was his first since Burton in mid-December, and he says that requires the right kind of focus as a professional.

"There were a lot of players out there who haven't played a lot of football so it's credit to them to come in and do the job," he said.

"It was always going to be a difficult first half, and we controlled it without that cutting edge.

"There were maybe a few edgy people when we didn't score, but that's when you have to stay calm.

"Second half, credit to the boys we got two goals in five minutes and from then on the game's dead.

"It's good confidence for the boys."
