The Teessiders defeated Barnsley and Charlton Athletic at the Riverside to go back-to-back on home turf, and Woodgate says confidence is high in the Boro camp ahead of tonight's visit to the City Ground.

“The players are really confident at the minute," said the Boro head coach.

"After Barnsley, and even after the Hull game, but the way we’ve been recently, they’ve been doing really well.

"We’re climbing up the table okay, it’s small steps, but we need to keep going and hopefully get a result against Forest.

“It’ll be a positive step forward, but it’s no easy place to go to Nottingham Forest – it’s tough. They’re well-coached, they’ve got a good team, but it will be nice to go down there and get a result."
