Jonathan Woodgate praised the desire and commitment of his Boro players after picking up a hard-earned point against QPR.
The Boro head coach looked set to be without up to nine players for today's trip to Loftus Road, but trio Darren Randolph, George Friend and Ashley Fletcher all came back into the fold and stepped up to play their part in securing a point on the road.
"It showed my players want it and want it bad," Woodgate said.
"I had Randolph, Friend, Fletcher knock on my door on Friday saying 'gaffer, I want to play. I'm not 100 per cent, but I want to play'. That's what I want and that's what the fans want to see.
"They want to see people giving their all, and them three did, they're not 100 per cent, I didn't expect any of them to play.
"But that's what I want - players knocking on my door wanting to play when they're not fit."
