Already an unpredictable league, the resumption of Championship football seen even more cases of teams defying the league standings to pick up points.

The Boro boss says its part and parcel of what makes it one of the most exciting leagues in football, and the most challenging.

"When you look at the league table - whether you're playing top of the league now or bottom of the league you can get points or you can lose," Warnock said.

"They told me when I came in, Stoke City away and Hull City away, two massive games and they are. But they are all massive. 

"It's a matter of trying to get my lads ready for every game, and getting everything out of them to get three points."
