Neil Warnock was pleased to see Boro collect a point from his old club Cardiff City, but felt it could have been an even greater return.
George Saville headed in his second goal of the week in south Wales, but Sheyi Ojo's scrambled leveller tied things up.
Warnock was happy with his side's showing at the end of a testing week.
"I'm obviously disappointed not to win, but it's a good point," he said.
"We've been on the rough end of a few decisions and done 1,000 miles. Another week we could have had another four points but hopefully we'll get the luck at the right time.
"I think it's been pleasing since Watford, I've enjoyed every game. The lads are playing with a smile on their face and it's nice because they're all mucking in, and great to come away with a result."
