Neil Warnock praised his side's resilience after picking up a win over Preston.

The Lilywhites were reduced to ten men, but Boro were made to work for all three points.

"I said to the lads, you just have to win these games," he said.

"It's so difficult to win two games in four days at home.

"When I saw they had lost to Wycombe at the weekend I knew there would be a reaction, and there was to be fair to them.

"But we played some good stuff second half, and I thought the two centre halves were fantastic tonight. We never really gave them much of a look-in.

"It was all about desire and winning tonight."
