Boro midfielder Sam Morsy met with participants from MFC Foundation's Football Welcomes programme on Wednesday as part of the EFL-wide Day Of Action.

Football Welcomes is a collaboration between the Foundation, the Methodist Asylum Project (MAP) and the North Riding FA aiming to create more welcoming communities for refugees and asylum seekers.

The Foundation offers football and educational provision for those who have sought asylum in Middlesbrough as a result of fleeing war, conflict and the risk of persecution in their home countries.

Sam met with the participants over zoom, and discussed his own experiences - his father having arrived in this country from Egypt as a 22-year-old.
