Stewart Downing says Boro have no time to dwell on a disappointing night at the Riverside.
Jake Hesketh's second half goal meant League One Burton progressed to the Carabao Cup semi-finals at Boro's expense.
"We expected to win, and the pressure is on us to do that at home," Downing said.
"But it was the same old story, really, we missed too many chances.
"The team looked nervy, and we've had a couple of moments of madness in the second half - that's how best I can describe it.
"In the end we start putting it in the box, putting them under pressure and they're hanging on to the lead.
"The main story is we're not clinical enough.
"We haven't got time to dwell, or sulk, we've got a massive period coming up.
"It's time for men to stand up and get some big results."
