Tony Pulis was pleased with the response from Boro after going a goal down to clinch an important three points against Reading.
Despite Danny Loader drawing first blood for the Royals, two goals in the space of eight minutes from Lewis Wing and Britt Assombalonga from the penalty spot made it three home wins on the spin.
“I was really pleased with the reaction from the players," said the Boro boss.
"I thought the players really picked the baton up and took the game to Reading.
"The chances we had again, they’re extraordinary. The one after half-time is just sheer bad luck.
"We’ve had a lot of them this year, but they saw it through, there’s still pressure on the others because of this win today and that’s what we wanted to do.”
