Tony Pulis says his side found their clinical edge tonight against Bolton Wanderers to pick up a much-needed three points.
Ashley Fletcher’s brace in the first half brought a six-match winless run to a halt at the University of Bolton Stadium.
Having said his side have not been ruthless enough in front of goal in recent games, Pulis was pleased to see Boro tuck away their opportunities but feels the approach has always been the same.
“I don’t think we’ve done much from the last six games. In the first half against Swansea was poor and the Villa game was poor.
“The other four games, we’ve played really well and created lots of opportunities and chances. Today we took two chances, controlled the game for most periods but we haven’t changed anything and we’ve done what we’ve talked about doing.
“The difference is we’ve put the ball in the back of the net twice.
“We’ve created opportunities again tonight, and I’m disappointed we’ve not taken some. In other games, we’ve not taken any of the chances.”
