Season Card holder Michael Grace was the lucky winner of the raffle for Neil Warnock’s Manager of the Month trophy.

A lifelong fan of the club, 58-year-old Michael was surprised to answer his phone to the Boro boss himself on Tuesday afternoon, Neil Warnock delighted deliver the good news personally.

“I recognised the voice straight away, but I think it took a second or two for the penny to drop!’ Michael said.

“He was great, we chatted away for about twenty minutes. It was like I’d known him for years. I was telling him I’d been going to the Boro since the 70s and a season ticket holder for 25 years, since we first signed Juninho.

“I always give a bit to the Butterwick at this time of year, my dad was in there for his last few days, that was more than 20 years ago.

“So when I saw the link to the page I was straight on there - and to win it as well is fantastic.”

Michael will be presented with the trophy by the Boro boss in the coming weeks.

The charity raffle raised just shy of £12,500 for the Butterwick Hospice in Stockton.

We have also picked out 20 more lucky supporters that donated, who will now receive a signed photograph as a ‘runners-up’ prize.
