The South Wales trip is the longest of the season for Mark Tinkler's side, but the youngsters made light of the seven-hour journey the previous afternoon by breezing past Swansea.

Joe Gibson scored twice, including the pick of the six, and Layton Watts, Isaac Fletcher, and Alberto Balde were also on target. An own goal completed the rout after Boro had led 3-0 at the break.

The win puts our youngsters top of the group ahead of the games against Wolves and Tottenham later in the year. The two remaining group matches are at Rockliffe.

Our U16s also made it a double after they won 2-0 at Swansea.
