Bio

Hailing from Halesowen in the West Midlands, Morgan joined West Bromwich Albion’s academy as an Under-9.

He progressed through the ranks to make his professional debut with the Baggies, coming on as a substitute against Brighton and Hove Albion in the FA Cup.

After impressing against them in the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup, Morgan joined Manchester City on pro terms in August 2019.

In January 2021, Morgan linked up with League One Lincoln City on loan. He formed part of an exciting front line with Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson, and three goals from seven games in March saw him collect the EFL Young Player of the Month award.

Lincoln reached the League One play-offs, and Rogers featured in both legs of the semi-final victory over Sunderland as well as in the final defeat to Blackpool at Wembley. He’d make a total of 28 appearances for the Imps, scoring six goals and providing four assists.

The following season, Morgan was out on loan again, this time stepping up to the Sky Bet Championship with Bournemouth. He made 15 appearances, the majority from the bench, as the Cherries finished in second place and were promoted to the Premier League under Scott Parker.

The second half of last campaign saw Morgan loaned to Blackpool, where he played 22 times, scoring once and adding two assists, but was ultimately unable to save the Tangerines from the drop.

Morgan has played and scored regularly for England’s youth sides up to under-20 level.
