Goodbye to an old friend!

The famous Longines clock was fitted during the ground improvements for the 1966 World Cup.

The clock had stopped at 4.50pm in June 1976, just weeks after the 10 year guarantee ran out.

The clock was finally removed in 1980, and a new electric one was installed in March 1981. It was activated 15 minutes before the FA Cup quarter final tie versus Wolves, but the less said about that game the better!
