Chris Wilder was appointed Boro manager in November 2021.

A right-back in his playing days, Chris clocked up almost 500 appearances including a century for hometown club Sheffield United and 150 for Rotherham United, also enjoying spells with Notts County, Bradford City and Halifax Town.

Chris' first steps in management were with non-league Alfreton Town in 2001, and he has since notched up more than 1,000 matches in the dugout.

He is a four-time promotion winner, having led Oxford out of the Conference in 2010, won League Two with Northampton in 2016 and most recently guided Sheffield United from the third tier to the Premier League in just three seasons.

Chris was named LMA Manager of the Year after the Blades' promotion from the Championship in 2019 and they finished ninth on their first season back in the top flight.
