Profile

Darlington-born central midfielder Alex is a player who has progressed through the club’s Academy system since being signed at the age of nine.

He was a regular in the club’s Under-18s – he was nominated for the Academy League's Goal of the Month in September 2014 after a stunning strike against Manchester United – and he has also tasted regular football at Under-23 level.

Alex has trained with the senior side and travelled with the senior squad on the pre-season trip to Marbella in the summer of 2016. Alex also featured in senior friendlies on English soil and capped off a terrific performance at Doncaster with a goal.

After suffering an injury early in the 2017/18 season, Alex returned to feature for the Under-23s before moving to York City on loan. He joined Yeovil Town on loan for the 2018/19 campaign.
