The club will be introducing a new Priority Points scheme for fans for the new season.
The decision has been taken following our recent survey of Season Card holders which showed that 62% of those who expressed a view were in of favour of the introduction of such a scheme.
Boro Priority Points will be awarded based on Season Card purchases, and home and away ticket buys. Priority Points will determine access to tickets for matches where there is high demand with a tiered application process.
The scheme will operate in a two-season cycle, coming into effect for this season. This means points gained in 2019/20 will be carried into 2020/21.
Priority Points* for the 2019/20 season will be allocated as follows:
Gold Season Cards (Prefix A) - 80 Points
Chairman’s Drink (Prefix B-W) – 75 Points
Standard (Prefix X) – 70 Points
Supporters purchasing a season card for Reading onward will receive 60 points. Priority Points will be pro rata with the amount of home games remaining at the date of purchase. Supporters earn 3 Priority Points per home game, so if 18 home games were remaining on the date of a Season Card purchase, the supporter would earn 54 Priority Points.
Match ticket purchases
Home match ticket - 3 Points
Away match ticket - 2 Points
Official club away travel – 1 Point
Away Season Card Holder – 5 Points (In addition to points for each away game. No new applications being taken)
*Priority Points are subject to change
*Priority Points are allocated on a per account basis not per ticket basis
